Vega$’ absolute favorite treat is wheat bread or wheat tortilla.
Wheat bread can be used as a supplemental protien source. I have heard many an iguana go nutz for it! However, please be careful. There have instances where iguanas have fatal allergic reactions to wheat gluten. With bread or with anything new, let the iguana sample a tiny bit first and watch for a reaction, such as problems breathing or erratic behavior or any physical reaction.
